Information on the return of waste electrical equipment for commercial users (B2B)

As a manufacturer and distributor of electrical and electronic equipment for professional use, we take our responsibility for the environment seriously. In accordance with Section 19(3) of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), we inform our commercial end users (B2B) below about the options for returning and recycling waste equipment from our product range.

The devices supplied by BEWEI that are marked with the following symbol are subject to the provisions of the ElektroG and the German Battery Act (BattG).

The bar underneath the "crossed-out wheelie bin" means that our devices were placed on the market after 13 August 2005.

1. Legal obligation to dispose of equipment properly

Waste electrical equipment bearing this marking must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste (e.g. residual waste). Instead, it has to be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.

2. Own responsibility for data deletion

Where applicable, personal data must be deleted (only if the device contains storage). We accept no liability for data loss or damage arising from data remaining on the devices.

3. Return procedure for large appliances

We organise the take-back of the devices you purchased from us ourselves. To ensure smooth processing, please proceed as follows:

• Registration: Send your return request by e-mail to ruecknahme@bewei.com. Please state the device model, the serial number and the approximate weight.
• Collection arrangement: After reviewing your details, we will coordinate collection by a forwarding company or courier commissioned by us.
• Provision: Please have the device ready for transport at the agreed date, securely packaged and freely accessible at the loading ramp or kerbside.
• Recycling: The waste devices are transported directly to our logistics centre and from there properly disposed of.

4. Costs of the take-back

The organisational handling of the take-back is carried out entirely by us. The costs incurred for the forwarding transport are invoiced to the commercial end user in accordance with our general terms and conditions or the individual purchase agreements.
