Customer information under § 19a ElektroG

Information on the take-back of waste electrical and electronic equipment under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). This is a convenience translation. The German version is the legally binding one; you will find it at ruecknahme.html.

Waste equipment must not go into household waste

Electrical and electronic equipment is marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. At the end of its service life it must not be disposed of with household waste but has to be collected and recycled separately. The black bar underneath the symbol indicates that the device was placed on the market after 13 August 2005.

Separate collection of batteries and lamps

Owners of waste equipment are required to collect it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Please remove waste batteries and accumulators that are not permanently enclosed in the device, as well as lamps that can be taken out without destruction, before returning the device, and dispose of them separately.

Returning waste equipment

BEWEI GmbH offers to take back the devices it has placed on the market. If you would like to return a BEWEI waste device, please contact us by e-mail at ruecknahme@bewei.com. We will then agree the next steps with you, such as collection or shipping.

Deletion of personal data

Please note that you are responsible for deleting any personal data stored on a device before returning it.

Environment and resources

Separate collection, reuse and recycling of waste equipment conserves natural resources and prevents pollutants from harming the environment or human health.
